Today you are one month old. My how time flew. I have enjoyed every second with you. You make me smile! I love you so much. Let me tell you a few memories that have happened throughout your first month...
When you came into this world on July 15th at 1:25pm you weighed 7lbs14oz and were 21 and a quarter inches long. You were welcomed into the world by many people including your mommy and daddy (of course). Your grandma, grandpa (he was in the waiting room with your Uncle Karl), Great Aunt Nancy, Aunt Geraldine, Aunt Misty, Aunt Brittany, Aunt Amber, and Aunt Britt. There were many visitors throughout the rest of the evening and during the next day. We took you home on July 16th.
The first night your daddy and I brought you home we were super excited! The first thing we did when we walked in the house was show you your room. You were sleeping of course but we think you liked your first time in your room. When it was time to go to bed, daddy and I got you dressed for bed and we all got into bed to get ready to sleep. You had other plans for us. You didn't sleep much at all your first night. It was like you knew you were home and wanted to check it all out!
Some fun facts...
You did not like to sleep in your bassinet so we tried your swing. That worked for a few nights but then the rest of the month you slept in between your daddy and I. One thing we have started trying is playing music for you to help you sleep. That is working just fine for now.
By three weeks old you were keeping your eyes open longer and gazing into our eyes.
You were smiling a lot. Some people say it was probably gas but I think it was because you were happy to see us! :)
We tried tummy time with you an you do not like that at all. You would pick your head up, kick your feet and scream until we picked you up.
Another thing that we will always remember is your diaper blow-outs on a number of people and at very random times, but that's ok because one day you will be too big to pick up an take care of.
Daddy and Mommy go to this very awesome and welcoming church. All the members of the church are so nice to your mommy and daddy. They all had been awaiting your arrival just as much as us. On your first visit to church there were a few people that caught wind that you were there. They came back to the nursery to meet and were so very excited. Your second trip to the church you got to me the very awesome Rev. Susan! She bought a rose for you and introduced you to the entire congregation! This visit led to a revolving door to the nursery! Everyone can back to meet you! Daddy and I hope you enjoy the UUCP just as much as we do!!
When we took you to your 2nd week check up you weighed 9lbs 8oz and were 22in long. By your month check up you weighed 10lbs 8oz and were 22in long.
Your daddy and I love you so very much! We wouldn't trade you for the world! We are enjoying our journey with you!
Love Always and Forever,
Daddy and Mommy
Here are the pictures we took to try and get the perfect picture! :)
